How many magnitudes can I gain with an OVNI-M / OVNI-B ?
How many magnitudes can I gain with an OVNI-M / OVNI-B ?
The average gain is about 4 magnitudes on the stars.
In a general it is commonly accepted that you will multiply the aperture of your telescope by 3.
In fact it will depend on the targets. Some details of nebulae can be seen in a 4" telescope with OVNI-M / OVNI-B while they would be totally invisible in a 40" telescope or any larger telescope in the world using a glass eyepiece. The reason is that with an OVNI Night Vision eyepiece you will be able to observe details in the visible and infrared spectrum. These infrared details are invisible to the human eye without a OVNI-M / OVNI-B.
