Astronomer since 2002, I specialized in visual observation with a night vision eyepiece. This is a military technology that is not very well developed for civilian use, allowing real-time observation in the visible and near infrared spectrum (wavelengths between 400nm and 1000nm). By adapting it to astronomy, it becomes possible to see details invisible to the human eye without this instrument.
Although efficient, the qualities differ greatly between each tube. No two tubes are identical. And being intended for military use, no night vision eyepiece was optimized for astronomy. This is why I developed the OVNI-M, an intensifier night vision eyepiece designed to be used with a telescope and combining all the technological advances best suited to astronomy.
